Whoopi Goldberg Faces Heckler Live On Air During Taping of ‘The View’

In a surprising turn of events during the Wednesday taping of ‘The View,’ Whoopi Goldberg was confronted by a vocal audience member at the start of the show.
The interruption quickly caught the attention of Whoopi and her co-hosts, prompting them to address the situation before resuming their usual discussions.
“We’re happy to see y’all. Cool, well, go on and have a seat,” Goldberg remarked before focusing on the heckler.
“Did you just call me an old broad? Yeah?” she asked, as the camera captured a woman seated near the front of the stage.
“She said, ‘You old broad,’ and I was like, hey, it’s Wednesday, and I am an old broad, and happy about it,” Whoopi responded, attempting to brush off the comment. Co-host Sonny Hostin added that being called an “old broad” was preferable to more derogatory terms.
Goldberg responded to the exchange, saying, “The alternative is not attractive to any of us. We all want to be old broads and old dudes, you know?” She humorously accepted the term, though it was clear she was trying to fill the moment with some light-heartedness.
