On June 22, 1996, Candace Cameron Bure and Valeri Bure exchanged vows, two years after they fell in love during their first date at a hockey game in 1994.
For this charming couple, the passage of years is insignificant, as they still share the same spark they did at the beginning, even after two decades of marriage.
Their marriage seemed filled with joy and humor, as evidenced by a story shared by Bure on Instagram. However, some of her followers perceived the humor as “inappropriate,” leading to a significant backlash against the actress. Nevertheless, Bure remained unwavering in the face of criticism.
Instead, she boldly decided to post the image on her Instagram account. She shared two pictures depicting the “sweet and spicy” essence of their love.
In the second image, Valeri affectionately holds his wife by the shoulder with his hand on her chest.
Some fans suggested that the image was somewhat ‘racy,’ given her status as a ‘Christian celebrity.’ However, the actress had a response for those who felt offended. She humorously stated, “I’m sorry if it offended you… Actually, no, I’m not sorry,” with laughter in a follow-up video shared on her Instagram stories. “I’m glad that we still have fun together after so many years.”
She clarified that she was merely illustrating what a strong and entirely healthy 24-year-long marriage looked like.
“It makes me laugh because he’s my husband,” she further explained in her follow-up Instagram story video. “He can touch me anytime he wants, and I hope he does.”
