On the 26th day, Georgia’s physical condition showed signs of improvement after giving birth, but mentally she continued to search for her lost offspring. However, on the 27th day, we introduced three motherless newborn kittens to Georgia, and she immediately formed a bond with them. While only one of the kittens successfully latched onto Georgia for feeding, we are providing bottle-feeding for the other two until they figure it out themselves. Unfortunately, on the 29th day, one of the kittens passed away, and we are uncertain if it was related to a minor amount of blood near its rear end.
Despite this tragic event, Georgia remained dedicated to caring for her two healthy kittens, Graffiti and Gumball. On the 32nd day, Georgia also bestowed a name upon the newest addition to the family, an orange kitten named Goober. All the kittens are thriving, each weighing between 7 to 8 ounces, and Georgia continues to excel as a nurturing mother, ensuring their well-being and cleanliness. On the 39th day, Georgia received a new collar from her owner, and on the 41st day, everyone was in good health and high spirits.
On the 45th day, Georgia’s babies would spend quality time with her after each meal, engaging in cuddles, nursing, and grooming. Both mother and kittens relished these moments. Regrettably, Georgia developed a visible tumor in her reproductive organs and was scheduled to begin chemotherapy treatment soon. However, the doctors were optimistic about her chances of a full recovery.
Once the treatment commenced, Georgia’s babies had to be kept away from her until it was completed. The smallest one, Graffiti, had not yet mastered the art of jumping out of the pool. On the 50th day, Georgia was transported to her new adoptive home, where she would now be known as Milo. She would undergo her cancer treatment and recovery under the care of her new owner. On the 52nd day, Georgia/Milo and her owner shared a heartwarming reunion at her first chemo treatment.
Finally, on the 70th day, Georgia/Milo completed her last chemo treatment and was feeling strong. This resilient lady had overcome adversity on the streets, lost all her puppies, and endured chemotherapy. By the 85th day, her babies had grown significantly, each weighing around 2.5 pounds, and had become confident individuals.
Although my heart belongs to dogs, I will miss these little rascals. On the 95th day, the long-awaited reunion between Georgia/Milo and her kitten, Gumball/Toby, took place. We all hoped for a fairy-tale ending where they would run towards each other and frolic in happiness.
However, animals are honest, and Milo was slightly apprehensive about Toby. Nonetheless, this is a genuine and heartwarming ending for both of them. I am overjoyed for Milo and will forever hold a special place in my heart for her and her three kittens. Don’t hesitate to share this heartwarming story with your loved ones!
