This remarkable 98-year-old matriarch hailing from a sprawling Kentucky family recently had the joy of meeting her first great-great-great-grandchild. MaeDell Taylor Hawkins, the beloved centenarian, cradled little Zhavia Whitaker, who was a mere seven months old, in an unforgettable moment that unfolded in February.

It was her doting granddaughter, Gracie Snow Howell, who captured and shared this heartwarming encounter online, causing it to swiftly gain immense popularity.

What sets MaeDell’s family apart is the astounding number of descendants she’s amassed over the years. With progeny from her own daughters and their subsequent generations, she currently cherishes a remarkable count of more than 620 grandkids.

The photo showcases four great-granddaughters of MaeDell: Frances Snow, Gracie Snow Howell, Jacqueline Ledford, and Jaisline Wilson. This beautiful image was skillfully captured by Hawkins’ granddaughter, Sheryl Blessing. MaeDell will be celebrating her 99th birthday in July.

In a story that’s as remarkable as her family size, MaeDell married a 50-year-old railroad worker when she was just 16 in 1940, bringing with him ten children from a previous marriage. Her husband, Bill Taylor, often traveled for work. Despite the hardships of the time, the couple went on to have 13 children together and had to manage without most modern conveniences, such as running water and a washer and dryer.

Gracie went on to say that she’s never heard her mother, Frances, lament the lack of anything in their home. MaeDell’s unwavering love and support have undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping generations of content and healthy women and children, a fact beautifully illustrated in this photograph of six generations of strong women.

This venerable Kentucky matriarch boasts a staggering 37 great-great-great-grandchildren residing beyond the borders of Kentucky. In addition to this, her family tree extends to include an impressive count of 106 grandkids, 222 great-grandchildren, and 234 great-great-grandchildren.
