A wobbly kitten approached a homeowner, seeking entry into her life. Little did he know that he had stumbled upon the perfect refuge. Tegan, the homeowner, was taken aback when she discovered an unexpected visitor in her backyard. The kitten’s unsteady gait caught her attention as he swayed and staggered with each step.

Upon spotting Tegan, the kitten gravitated toward her, craving attention and head snuggles. Hungry for food and affection, he yearned for a roof over his head.

Tegan, deeply concerned for the young cat, promptly reached out to her sister, Amber, the founder of Saving Grace Rescue, a specialized organization dedicated to caring for kittens and special needs cats.

Amber shared, “He simply walked through an open gate to enter the backyard, almost as if he knew a special needs rescue was nearby.”

As it turned out, the young cat, named Engine, had cerebellar hypoplasia, a condition affecting his motor skills, balance, and coordination.

Engine’s origin was traced back to a life in a car with his previous owner, who had abandoned him to roam the streets when they could no longer provide care.

Amber took Engine under her wing, offering the sweet boy a new lease on life.

Engine proved to be incredibly friendly, unhesitatingly bonding with anyone he encountered, including at the vet’s office. Upon arriving at his new home, he immediately made himself at home, moving from lap to lap, purring contentedly and accepting hugs as if to make up for lost time. He enjoyed a restful night’s sleep in his cozy, warm bed with a full belly.

Apart from his wobbliness, Engine is in perfect health and has an affinity for cuddles. He shadows his human companions, vocalizing his desire to be picked up and demonstrating his affection in various ways.

Engine’s playful spirit was evident as he bounced back from every tumble, playing with boundless energy until exhaustion set in. He brought joy to all with his adorable quirks, chasing feather toys and exploring tunnels like a true adventurer.

His wobbliness was no obstacle to his zest for life.

He relished basking in the sun in the fenced backyard alongside the family chickens, respecting their space and enjoying the fresh air and gentle breeze.

Engine had found the perfect place to seek help, and now he is ready to find a forever home where he will be loved and

pampered endlessly.
